Form a 4¼ à 5½-inch top-folded card from gray card stock. Cut a 3¾ à 5-inch piece from printed paper, and adhere to front of card base.
Use die template to cut and emboss a 2 7/8 à 3¾-inch rectangle from ivory card stock. With black ink, stamp leaves and first half of sentiment on rectangle. Color with markers.
Replace die template over rectangle to use as a stencil. Sponge green ink in spaces between leaves; stamp yellow at the top. Cut some diagonal strips of scrap paper in the shape of sun rays for masks; place on rectangle, angling inward from upper right corner. Sponge orange ink over mask strips. Remove masks and die template.
Stamp caterpillar and butterfly on ivory card stock; color and cut out (A). Adhere caterpillar to center leaf with adhesive foam squares. Adhere ivory rectangle to a gray mat 1/8-inch larger on all sides. Adhere all to front of card base with foam squares.
Cut a 4 à 10½-inch ivory rectangle, and score at 5¼ inches to line inside of card. Find center of score line (2 inches) and cut a 2-inch-long slit perpendicular to score line, ¼ inch on each side of center point, beginning and ending 1 inch above and below score line. Fold liner toward you, gently pressing the area between cuts toward you (B).
Place plenty of adhesive along back of liner at top, bottom and middle, avoiding pop-up area, and adhere to inside of card, lining scores of both liner and base to make sure it folds properly.
Adhere bottom of butterfly wing to pop-up section at a slight angle (C). Stamp last half of sentiment with black ink. Adhere a 3¾ à 2-inch strip of printed paper across bottom of liner.
